Residential Proxies

What is the difference between Residential Proxies and ISP Proxies?

  • Residential proxies are IPs hosted by Internet Service Providers (such as Verizon). They are not hosted in data centers (these are datacenter proxies). Residential proxies are slower than datacenter proxies, but they are also unbanned on every site, you also can generate an unlimited amount of proxies. Residential proxies are sold per GB (gigabyte).
  • An ISP proxy is hosted by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Our ISP proxies are dedicated IPs hosted in a data center. However, they are registered as residential IPs, which means that they are able to remain unbanned while still maintaining the faster speeds of a traditional Data Center proxy.

What is a Residential Proxy Plan?

  • In basic terms, residential proxy systems (like our dashboard) pull IPs from a pool of millions of IPs. These IPs are then sent to your dashboard for you to use. Our proxy network provides you with quality IPs that are unbanned and unthrottled. In addition, our proxies do not share any subnetworks which leads to higher success rates.

What is the difference between static and rotating proxies?

  • Static proxies maintain the same IP throughout. Rotating proxies change IP after each request is made. For example, if you are using a static proxy and you refresh Google.com, the IP will stay the same. However, if you are using a rotating proxy and refresh Google.com, the IP will change. For pretty much all sites, you want to utilize static proxies for higher success.

When should you generate residential proxies?

  • It’s always recommended to generate proxies on release day. More servers and proxies are added on release day to account for the extra traffic that occurs. By generating your proxies on release day, you will access faster and more stable proxies than if you generate them a day or two prior to release. Generating proxies takes seconds, so we always recommend generating right before releases.

Where do I generate my proxies?

How do I know If my proxies work?

  • You could use AYCD’s Toolbox proxy tester or any bot that supports proxy testing to test proxies. We always recommend testing prior to any release. This way you can filter out any proxies that are not stable or working properly. If you encounter any bad proxies, regenerate again and retest. Another reliable form of testing would be to utilize your bot’s proxy tester (if supported.) Make a profile with fake information and send the request using proxies. If you can get to the “Payment Declined” stage, that means the proxies worked flawlessly.

My proxies keep getting banned, what should I do?

  • Some websites are very strict, which results in many/all IPs being banned. (Ex. BSTN). In situations like these, we recommend that you try proxies from the opposite country (US or UK) and test them to see if those work better. Something we personally do on EVERY drop is generated 1-2 proxy lists located in the UK (if going for a US site, like Kith or YS) and run a couple of tasks on those as they sometimes are able to bypass Shopify queues faster. We also recommend generating more queues than you have tasks. If you are going to be running 10 tasks, generate 50 proxies. This is so the bot can rotate around banned proxies.

Where can I renew my plan?

Will your data plan ever expire?

  • There is a 60-day expiration on residential proxies, other than usage. Your proxy plan will only expire when all the data usage is fulfilled or when 60 days have passed. Once data is fully used, you have the option to renew.

Is there a discount when renewing?

  • When you renew in the dashboard you will automatically have a complimentary discount applied.

Residential Proxies Questions and Fixes

Why should I use proxies?

  • Proxies mask your home IP address. Proxies are extremely useful and necessary when botting so the website can’t see you are making hundreds of requests from the same IP. If the website can detect a lot of requests from one IP, it will ban that IP. This is why proxies are crucial, especially if you plan to run multiple tasks or requests.

Where are the proxies located?

  • They are picked randomly from the biggest cities in the country of your choice. Only Datacenter proxies are region-specific. You have the option to generate proxies from anywhere in the world.

How do I generate static proxies?

  • All our proxies are static proxies by default. You don’t need to do anything on your end.

How do I generate rotating proxies?

  • Should you want to generate rotating proxies, you can simply pick the rotating option via the dashboard.

Why are my proxies slow?

  • Residential proxies are not designed for speed. The primary focus is to simulate real residential IP addresses to make you look more human enhancing chances of checkout success.

How do I achieve the best speeds?

  • The best way to do this is with your setup. For example, if you intend to use US proxies, then use a US server. If you plan to use UK proxies, use a UK server. This will give you the best possible speeds. Also, generating a large list of proxies and manually filtering the fastest proxies out (using a proxy tester) is a great method to filter the fastest proxies.

ISP Proxies

How do I access my plan after I purchase one?

  • Your Proxies will be available on the ISP Dashboard page immediately after purchase as all plans are instant delivery. You can use the dashboard in order to access your ISP proxies in ip:port:user:pass format.

ISP Further Information

Where are the proxies located?

  • Our ISP Proxies are hosted in the US within data centers that use 10GB Network Speeds, this provides the fastest potential connection to the proxies.

How do I achieve the best speeds?

  • The best way to do this is with your setup. For example, if you intend to use US proxies, then use a US server.  This will give you the best possible speeds.

How do I update my proxy password?

  • It is not possible to update your ISP proxy passwords. The passwords given at the time of delivery will be used for the duration of your plan. We do not replace or reset ISP proxies, the proxies delivered at purchase are the ones you will use for the duration of the plan.

Do you replace ISP proxies during a plan?

  • No, we do not exchange or replace IPs during the duration of your plan. The proxies you are delivered at the time of purchase will be the ones you will use for the duration of the plan.
