Introduction

You can use the Schedule Tools feature in Inbox to schedule multiple tools at once to run at specific times. Schedule Tools allows you to run multiple tools without additional interaction and schedule them at different times when needed.

Setup & Recommendations

Schedule Tools

1. Navigate to the Accounts section of Inbox in Mail. When you hover over it, an icon that looks like a book with a person on it is titled Accounts.

2. Select the accounts you want to schedule tools on, then click the Tools button and select Schedule Tools. Then click the Start button.

3. Specify a Nickname for the schedule.

4. Click the Create button. 

5. Specify the Date/Time the tool should be scheduled to run. Ensure you specify a date/time in the future.

6. Select the tool you want to add to your schedule.

7. Click the Save button.

8. Repeat this process for each tool you want to add to your schedule. After configuring the Create Tool Schedule Group dialog, click the Next button.

9. If you want emails to populate in the emails tab after your account is logged in, enable the Sync mail after login checkbox.

10. If you want to force relogin into the credentials before running your tools, enable the Force re-login credentials checkbox. 

11. Select a Mail Task Template to use. The Mail Task Template is used if your accounts encounter 2FA codes that must be handled via IMAP. You can assign catchall/forwarded emails to your Mail Task Template. Click here to learn how to create a Mail Task Template.

12. Select an SMS Task Template to use. The SMS Task Template is used if your accounts encounter SMS verification pages during the login flow. You can assign third-party SMS credentials to SMS Task Templates to automatically handle SMS codes. Click here to learn how to create an SMS Task Template. 

13. Optionally, you can specify a Custom Password to use if Outlook forces you to change your password during login. Inbox will automatically handle this and replace the existing password in your Inbox credential. If you leave this field blank, Inbox will generate a random 16-character password for each account.

14. If you selected the generate aliases tool, specify how many aliases to generate. Due to Outlook's limitations, the maximum quantity you can generate at a time is 2. You can generate up to a total of 10 per account. 

15. If you selected the Change Recovery Email tool, select the emails you want to use as recovery emails on your accounts. You can select accounts already saved to the Mail Accounts section in Inbox or provide a list of emails in the Emails section of the dialog.

16. If you selected the Enable Forwarding Tool, select the emails you want your accounts to forward to. You can select accounts already saved to the Mail Accounts section in Inbox or provide a list of emails in the Emails section of the dialog.

17. After configuring the dialog, click the Start button. Your tasks will start based on the date/time you specified.

18. You can add a Discord webhook to Settings > General or Settings > Notifications to receive notifications when your schedule starts.


19. You can view your scheduled tools by navigating to the Accounts section of Inbox in Mail. When you hover over it, an icon that looks like a book with a person on it is titled Accounts.

20. Select the accounts you want to schedule tools on, then click the Tools button and select Schedule Tools. Then click the Start button.

21. Your tool schedule groups will appear. You can view the progress on if a tool schedule group has been successfully completed.

22. You can double-click a tool schedule group or select the tool schedule group and click the edit button to view the specific tool schedule group and the progress of each tool you selected.

23. If a scheduled tool has not started, you can edit which tool you want to run or remove it from the schedule by double-clicking it or selecting it and clicking the edit button.
