Introduction
You can send emails using Inbox. You can reply to emails using Inbox. This feature makes it easy to confirm raffle wins, respond to colleagues, and more.
Setup & Recommendations
- Before using the Send Emails Tool, you must add credentials to Inbox. Click here to learn how to add credentials to emails.
- Before using the Reply to Emails Tool, you must add credentials and sync mail to Inbox. You can learn more about Mail Scraper Templates here.
- In order to reply to an email, the emails To field needs to match one of your account credentials, meaning you cannot reply from a catchall email.
Send Email
1. Navigate to the Accounts section of Inbox in Mail. When you hover over it, an icon that looks like a book with a person on it is titled Accounts.
2. Select the Account(s) from which you want to send an email.
3. Click on the Tools button at the top right of the view or right-click on the selected accounts and click on Tools.
4. Click the dropdown and choose Send email.5. The Send From dropdown lets you view which accounts you are sending emails to. This field is populated based on which accounts were selected when you started the Send Email tool.
6. You can specify which account you want to send an email to with the Send To field.
7. You can specify the email's subject with the Subject field.
8. You can specify the content of the email with the Content field.
9. You can include an attachment with the Attachment button.
10. After configuring the dialog, click the Send button. A dialog with a countdown confirming you want to send the email will appear. If you wish to continue, click the Yes button.
11. The Outgoing Mail Results dialog will appear. The dialog shows the Results of the outgoing mail request.
Reply to Emails
1. Navigate to the Emails section of Inbox in Mail. When you hover over it, you will see an envelope icon titled Emails.
2. Select the emails you want to reply to from in the table. To reply to multiple emails simultaneously, select multiple emails.
3. Click on the Tools button at the top right of the view or right-click on the table and click on Tools. This will bring up the Tools dialog for Inbox.
4. Click the dropdown and choose Reply to Emails.
5. Click Start.
6. The Reply dialog will appear. From here, you can enter your reply.
8. Click Send.
9. After the email is sent, an Outgoing Mail Results dialogue will appear to confirm that the email was indeed sent.
Viewing Outgoing Mail
1. Navigate to the Outgoing Mail section of Inbox in Mail. When you hover over it, you will see a folded-up envelope icon titled Outgoing Mail.
2. In this section, you can view the outgoing mail sent through Inbox.
3. To view the contents of the email, you can double-click on the reply on the table.
