Inbox - Mail - Accounts - Update Monitored Folders

Introduction

You can use the Update Monitored Folders option to adjust which folders Inbox monitors through IMAP. This is useful if you have sorting rules setup on your mail accounts and only want to monitor for emails on specific labels.

Setup & Recommendations

• Before updating monitored folders, you must Mail Credentials added to your Inbox. Learn how to add Mail Credentials to Inbox here. 
• Updating monitored folders can ensure that you never miss an email. If some of your emails that you want to view in Inbox go to a particular folder, ensure you select it when updating monitored folders. 

Updated Monitored Folders

1. Navigate over to the Credentials section of Inbox in Mail. This section has an icon that looks like a book with a person on it titled Credentials when you hover over it.

2. Select the Email Credentials that you want to modify the Monitored Folders for from the table.

3. Click the Options button at the top right of the view, then the Update Monitored Folders button.

4. You can select which folders you want Inbox to monitor. 

5. After configuring the Update Monitored Folders dialog, click the Update button.
