Inbox - Inventory - Create/Import/Export

Introduction

You can manually manage your inventory in Inbox by adding individual items or importing them in mass using the CSV format. You can also export items created to a CSV for use elsewhere.

Setup & Recommendations

  • You should use the Category system to your advantage to keep your inventory items organized.
  • You can import items you scraped from Scraped Data right into your Inventory. 

Create

1. Navigate to the Inventory section of Inbox. 

2. Click on File and then Create.

3. By default, Inventory Items are created in the All Category. You can override this and specify a category name to have your Inventory Items created into a unique or existing category.

4. Specify a Name for the Inventory Item. This is the only mandatory selection.

5. Specify an Order ID for the Inventory Item. 

6. Specify Notes for the Inventory Item.

7. Specify the Item Cost of the Inventory Item.

8. Specify the Sale Price of the Inventory Item.

9. Specify an Item URL for the Inventory Item. This can be a direct product link, StockX link, Event link, or any other URL you want. 

10. Specify the Tracking Number of the Inventory Item. Inbox supports automatically updating Tracking statuses for numerous companies individually or in bulk. 

11. Specify the Delivery Company of the Inventory Item. A list of supported Delivery Companies is below.

12. Specify the Item Weight of the Inventory Item.

13. You can create Custom Data for your Inventory Item. This can be any data you want to use, such as email addresses, purchase dates, stores purchased from, and more.

14. After configuring your Item, click the Save button to add the Item to your Inventory.

Import

1. Navigate to the Inventory section of Inbox. 

2. Click on File and then Import.

3. By default, Inventory Items are imported in the All Category. You can override this and specify a category name to import your Inventory Items into a unique or existing category.

4. Click the blue spreadsheet icon. This will open the file explorer, and you can select the CSV file you want to import. You can create a copy of the example format by clicking here.

5. After configuring the Import Items dialog, click the Import button to add the items to your Inventory.

Export

1. Navigate to the Inventory section of Inbox. 

2. Select the Inventory items you want to export in the table.

3. Click on File and then Export.

4. Click the Yes button to export the Inventory Items you selected.

5. View the exported Inventory Items file location by clicking the Yes button in the Completed - Export Items dialog. This will open the file explorer with your exported CSV file.
